I’m nervous so I probably shouldn’t join, right?
Being nervous just means you are about to do something different...which is exactly what you need to do if you want things to change. So wouldn’t that mean it’s actually a GOOD THING because it’s proof that you’re about to take the very step you need in order to finally end your struggles with food for good?
It’s like learning to ride a bike. Of course, you’re going to be nervous to fall down. But does that mean you should never learn to ride a bike?
Of course not...it just means you have to feel the fear and do it anyways. You have to make the commitment to yourself that you’re willing to do whatever it takes. And so what if you fall off? You just get up and get back on the bike and keep trying. Every time you fall off, you’re one step closer to being able to stay on longer. And if you keep practicing...eventually it’s sooo easy to ride a bike...you don’t even have to think about it.
